Taking A Vacation From Myself
Justin, 7/21/2006 04:07:22 PM
So tonight at around 8:00 PM eastern standard time, I'll be departing for the Pacific Time Zone as I am off on my vacation. I'll be meeting Michelle, Jgo, Erin and Dustin out in Las Vegas (my first visit to the famed city!).
Here is a rough itinerary of my Vacation should any of you care.

7/21-7/23:Las Vegas
7/23-7/26:Los Angeles
7/27-7/30:Baltimore (With a visit to Washington DC thrown in)

Among other things keep your eyes out on the Jimmy Kimmel show on Tuesday July 25 when I will be in the audience and the same building as one Mr. Luke Wilson. So set your TIVO's today. I'm also trying to get in on either Leno on Monday night or Carson Daly Live Tuesday (airing Friday though) because Taking Back Sunday will be on both shows...so hopefully I'll be at one. That concludes my update, so If you need to reach me I'm not planning on being on or near a computer until Wednesday night...so you'll have to textually message me. And as always I'll post my full adventure when I return. Until then remember; "What happens in Vegas also happens in Nevada."

OK so I'm at the portion of my vacation where I'm sitting on Mike's couch and watchng The Producers on DVD. Let me bring you up to speed on whats been going on thus far.

Friday - After my hours long plane delay at the airport I finally arrived in Las Vegas where the first thing I did was leave my digital camera in the van that took me to my hotel. After I met up with Michelle and Jgo, we proceeded to New York, New York's Coyote Ugly where I got hammered on 2 beers and a giant daiquari mix of Hurricane and Octane (and a Tylenal Extra Strength pain reliever). Went to sleep around 4 something.

Saturday - Woke up and headed back to NY, NY to ride the Roller Coaster with Jgo (and then he proceeded to almost vomit). Then we met up with Michelle, Erin, and Dustin and proceeded to Mandalay Bay for lunch at Giorgio.
We followed that up with a stroll down the strip to Luxor, Bellagio, Caesars Palace (where we saw Ice T walking around the shops with the whoriest looking woman we've ever seen), Paris, Barbary Coast (where Erin won 45 bucks on Roulette!), and Aladdin. Then Erin and Dustin left to fly home.
We saw the La Femme girly show at MGM Grand followed by the Jay Leno comedy act at Mirage. Finally we visited the fourth circle of hell AKA Jet nightclub at The Mirage.

Sunday - Woke up, checked out, lunched at Wolfgang Pucks Positro and took the Gondola Ride at The Venetian and walked around The Wynn some. Then it was back to the airport to head to LA and depart from Jgo.
After getting to the awesome Beverly Hilton (42 inch flatscreen wall mounted TV!) we went over to the Sunset Strip for some Sushi at Sushiya.

Monday - I woke up early to go down and get Tonight Show tickets only to discover the NBC studios were in an industrial park in Burbank with nothing else around. So we rented a car (a sweet ass Lexus with a talking GPS system!) and went and took the NBC Studios tour. We had a break between the tour and the show so we seeked out an In N Out Burger (the White Castle of the West) to eat at.
The Tonight show was cool and featured Kyra Sedgwick and some Arctic Explorers plus Taking Back Sunday performing MakeDamnSure.
After Leno we went to Dodgers Stadium to see the Dodgers take on the Padres. Finally we went swimming back at the hotel.

Tuesday - Took the Hollywood Homes/Graumanns Theater tour and saw among other things, Tom Cruises place, Aaron Spellings estate, The Ronald Reagan estate, and turned around in Danny Devito and Rhea Pearlman's driveway.
Went to the beaches out in Malibu and ate at a great beachfront restaurant called Duke's.
We also went back down to Graumann's Chinese Theater to gawk at the world premiere of John Tucker Must Die with many other people.
Finally we went to Rodeo Drive to walk around and ate at popular Kate Mantilini's where we saw Jake Gyllenhal also eating. All attempts to get a picture with the star of Bubble Boy failed.

Wednesday - We ate some good breakfast at The Farm Of Beverly Hills, and then it was back to the airport to return to Philly.

That pretty much sums up my West Coast trip, and now I'm here in Baltimore where I assume we will be seeing somewhere between 5 and 10 movies. Any questions?

    Movies Teach Bad Values
    Mike, 7/16/2006 11:25:30 AM
For all you parents out there, let's take a look at the horrible lessons that Hollywood is trying to teach your kids this year:

Mission Impossible III: Jumping off a 100 story building will probably work out OK for you

The Da Vinci Code: Whenever possible, run from the police instead of awaiting your day in court

X-Men The Last Stand: You should sacrifice your mutant powers to get down with some ice guy

Nacho Libre: Nuns are fair game if they're hot enough

Superman Returns: It's OK to get knocked up by an alien and fool your fiance into thinking it's his kid

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: It's alright to play a game of dice where the stakes are your immortal soul

Cars: Nascar is a real sport

Annoyed: The Justin Chronic Complaining Chronicles: Volume I
    Justin, 7/6/2006 03:40:53 PM
You know whats been getting on my nerves more and more and more lately? Every friggin place I go, I see some goofy ass fruity kid with his one heel up, just rolling along on his stupid roller shoe. These kids are rolling through Target, through Disney World, in my way at the mall, and worst of all all over my street in the way of my car. And I just want to walk by and POW kick one of them in the face! Just kick em and watch em fall and cry. Or just stick one foot out in the aisle at the Supermarket and trip them into the Fruity Pebble display! Or...dare I dream? Run one over with my car. Just because they look so stupid and they're just so damn annoying. ALL OVER THE PLACE! CONTROL YOUR KIDS! Look out roller-shoeing child...I'm yearning to knock you down and laugh about it on my website later.
