I just got done watching this highly entertaining and smart movie and I must say if you haven't seen it yet do yourself a favor and check it out. Robert Downey Jr. is going to be in all kinds of movies soon after Iron Man and Tropic Thunder, and this flick shows just how underrated and overlooked an actor he was until this summer. Plus a strong and hilarious performance from the always welcome Val Kilmer, and the only nude scene ever from my favorite honey Michelle MONAGHAN! This noir mystery send up was 95 minutes of solid fun.
If you liked Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, you will also like:
True Romance
Tombstone (more solid Kilmer action)
and The Heartbreak Kid (I heart Michelle Monaghan.).

It's been 19 years since Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Harrison Ford is 65 years old. A lot of people are wondering... is this movie still relevant? Will today's audience still respond to Indy? I say yes, here's why.
Adventure Movies - Adventure movies are as alive now as ever, see: National Treasure, Da Vinci Code, etc. The only difference is that they kind of suck, but people still line up to see them. Imagine if people got to see an adventure movie that was actually good.
Fedoras - In today's age of acid rain and blinding sunlight, I see this hat making a comeback.
Archeology - The excitement is still alive for this profession, but it just doesn't get the attention it deserves. I mean, how many TV 'scientists' can I watch clean up a brutal crime scene before I crave some other sort of investigative excavation?
Whips - This is a weapon/tool/s&m prop that will never go out of style.
George Lucas - If anything, people will line up in droves to see a Lucas movie just to complain on the internet afterwards. I hate to see what they'll say about American Graffiti 2.
Old men kickin ass - Back in the late 90s and early 00s, hot women kicking ass was all the rage, but these days the genre is tired and played out. Sure, it's still hot, but it's not as exciting as watching a cinema fossil huff and puff his way through vicious fight scenes. Just check out Live Free or Die Hard and Rocky Balboa. We all know it'd be awesome to get your ass kicked by a 90 pound girl, but movies like this really make you think about what it'd be like to get your ass handed to you by a senior citizen. Probably horrible, but hilarious to any onlookers.

Summer Music Season
Justin, 5/13/2008 08:39:38 PM
Whats the summer without some jams to drive around too? Rainy? Boring? Lame. Thats what it is. It would be lame....so heres a sneak preview of the music I'm probably going to be grooving too for the next 100 days or so!
Weezer - The Red Album - June 3
What else can I say, the fellas are back! The already released lead single "Pork And Beans" is just infectious with its sing along chorus...can't wait!
The Offspring - Rise And Fall, Rage And Grace - June 10
Another long awaited follow up, this is the first new Offspring album since the underrated 2003 Offspring offering "Splinter". I missed Dexter and Noodles! Did anyone else?
My Chemical Romance - The Black Parade Is Dead! - June 24
An MCR live CD with all my favorite tunes you say? Sign me up! But not for the 60.00 deluxe edition that features the disc inside a coffin thats been branded with the bands logo, 1 in 5 band designed Day Of The Deadesque masks, and a band signed death certificate...just the regular CD/DVD version for me thanks.
Less Than Jake - GNV FLA - June 24
The more I listen to LTJ the more I love them!
Cute Is What We Aim For - Rotation - June 24
I've heard some good things about this catchy Fueled By Ramen ensemble.
Me First And The Gimme Gimmes - Have Another Ball - July 8
Apparently featuring tracks left over from the orginal "Have A Ball" CD that came out like a decade ago...which is pretty ok, because I love that album!
Jack's Mannequin - The Glass Passenger - Late August
Originally scheduled for early June, but pushed back to late summer...I guess I'll live though. Now whens Something Corporate coming back???

Don't forget Death Cab For Cutie - Narrow Stairs that dropped on the world like a neutron bomb yesterday.
