    Good To Be Back
    Mike, 4/23/2006 04:01:30 PM
Not one to let Justin have all the fun this month, I just knocked out a pretty full ten days or so:

    4/13 - Indie Movie,
    Confederate States of America
4/14 - O's game, Orioles beat Angels with a walk off homer
4/15 - Indie band, Wolf Parade at the Ottobar
4/16 thru 4/21 - Washington (State) on business
4/22 - Brand New rocks Johns Hopkins University (setlist)

While in Seattle, I observed this wet city from the top of the Space Needle, ate some Mexican, then went to the Experience Music Project museum, which was pretty cool. I also did my first wine tasting tour in the wine country on the other side of the rockies.

Also, in my absence, the O's seem to have clawed their way past 500 ball, so good for them.

American Dad VS Family Guy Kung Fu
    Justin, 4/21/2006 03:31:23 PM
From the makers of Family Guy and American Dad the TV Show, come the Family Guy VS American Dad computer fighting game! Go to this website and you can take control of Peter (dressed like Rambo), Lois (dressed like The Bride from Kill Bill), Stewie (In Mech Suit), and Chris (he becomes available for play later in the game, so I haven't gotten him yet from Family Guy or Stan, Klaus (in WWI Germany Jetpack), Roger (inexplicably dressed as Wonder Woman), and Hayley (also unavailable at the beginning) from American Dad. Then you can beat each other senseless, and even perform fatalities! Lois slices your head off with a Sword! The graphics may suck, but its a fun thing to do in the office when your not doing your work!

    Mike Mattozzi:MIA
    Justin, 4/20/2006 02:24:08 PM
So Mike went to Washington state this week for some sort of business trip. The last time I heard from him was Sunday afternoon, when he appeared to have called me from the Space Needle in Seattle. Having not heard from him since, I can only assume the worst. Mike is gone, and that leaves me sole webmaster of wwsg.com. If this is indeed the case then let us pray for no technical malfunctions, for I cannot fix them. I guess if I don't hear from him by Saturday when we are supposed to see Brand New's return to live rocking at Johns Hopkins University, then I'll proclaim him legally dead and present some sort of eulogy for him here. If he is indeed still alive though I hope he brings me a souvenir. Good luck little buddy, wherever you are in the Northwest.

"Whats The Deal With Airplane Peanuts?" Or "Jerry Seinfeld Live!"
    Justin, 4/16/2006 11:14:23 AM
And so last night I finally got to cross a big "Must Do" off my list of stuff to do in life before I die, when I FINALLY got to see Jerry Seinfeld do live standup!
Me, Erin, and Dustin went deep into the heart of the city of Atlanta to the Fabulous Fox Theater, and after I scalped our extra ticket to a dude who turned out to be from York, PA(!) by pulling him away from some actual scalper, who was scary, and we thought he was going to stab us, we headed in. The Fox Theater has a sort of elaborate Arabian Nights them, and the ceilings and walls resemble a castle against a starscape with real moving clouds. It is by far the coolest set up theater I have ever seen.
Opener Mario Joyner was pretty funny and set the tone for the evening with a quick 15 minute opening routine, and then Jerry came out directly!
Jerry went through his new for '06 material for a hilarious hour and a half, touching on such things as selling junk on Ebay, the power Cookies in your house hold over you at all times of the day (he also received a gift of a Black and White Cookie from a crowd member during this segment), and bits about his wife and kids (2 year olds will poop right in front of you while your watching them, and then deny it...).
At any rate Jerry certainly hasn't lost a beat, and his trademark delivery brought back fond memories of my favorite TV show of all-time. As an encore Jerry came back out to do a quick Q&A with the crowd, that included the great question "Whats your favorite episode of the show?" Not being able to choose just one, Jerry named The Marine Biologist (where Kramer hits a golf ball into a Whales blowhole), The Invitations (where George accidentally kills his fiancee with toxic wedding invitation envelopes), and The Rye (where Jerry got to steal a loaf of Marble Rye from an old woman). All in all a great show, and well worth the trip!

    History
    Mike, 4/9/2006 09:52:56 PM
Yesterday, RJ set the Tivo to record the History Channel's 10 Days That Unexpectedly Changed America. RJ is what we call a habitual tivo-setter-not-watcher. Some of his past exploits include Rome, Jeopardy, and South Park. This history channel special certainly seems interesting, but what are the odds RJ completes his viewing of this season pass? I'm throwing down a public gauntlet... I challenge RJ to watch all 10 of the episodes he records. If he's up to the challenge and can watch an hour special about the Pequot War he will have earned the respect of the dancing tivo mascot.
  • From Justin on 4/9/2006:
A show everyone should TIVO and then actually WATCH is Free Ride on FOX. Hilarious, a little off kilter, and even a little emo, this show is something my TV schedule needs, so lets see that it makes it to next year. Because lets face it, the chick who plays Amber is FUCKING HOT.
  • From RJ on 4/10/2006:
Oh, I accept said challenge. I will require at least 12 days following each episode to consume it. I will destroy you like the hounds of Galilee.
  • From Mike on 4/10/2006:
Unfortunately, these episodes are on 2 A DAY all week. You're going to have to step up watching efforts.
