So I was looking for a subject to post about and Mike suggested: Mike M16: movie trailers that were great but then the movie sucked.
So here we go.
Top 10 Movies That The Trailer Was Great, But The Movie Sucked:
10.Little Nicky
9.Wild Wild West
8.Godzilla
7.Constantine
6.Van Helsing
5.The Transporter 2
4.Envy
3.National Security
2.Hollow Man
1.X3:The Last Stand
What else is going on you ask? Lets see...lets see. I've somehow become enamored with the show Lost, ridiculous as it seems.
Also on the subject of hour long dramas, Mike and I are planning a House-a-thon, wherein we will watch Season 1 of House in 16 straight hours. I'm considering employing some kind of drinking game for this as well. So yeah.
Anyone else have any disappointing trailers they want to discuss?

I still think X3 was pretty decent. Comic characters die all the time in the books, why not in the movies?
Yeah they die, but killing Cyclops was just unnecessary. It was ok. I just had high expectations. Not like Ghost Rider.

Hey anyone whose reading this, whats up? Anyway its recently come to my attention I haven't really been to many theme parks lately. So this year I'm planning to hit up enough parks to ride on 50 Roller Coasters.
Heres my checklist so far:
1.Six Flags Great Adventure
2.Cedar Point
3.King's Dominion
Right now thats all I've got, but I will be adding some more as the year goes on....Now who knows when these places open up for the season?

I SAW JUSTIN CRAP HIS PANTS ONE TIME ON A ROLLER COASTER.

Lately, its come to my attention that people have a negative opinion of RC Cola. They may view it as a fly-by-night imitator of the great Coke and Pepsi. Well, here's some facts you may not know (and may have been too lazy to look up on Wikipedia yourself):
- R.C. Cola (or Royal Crown Cola) is a cola soft drink developed in 1905 by Columbus, Georgia pharmacist Claude A. Hatcher.
- In 1958, the company introduced the first diet cola, Diet Rite, and later the first caffeine free cola, "RC 100".
- In the mid-1990s, the company released Royal Crown Draft Cola, billed as a "premium" cola and using pure sugarcane. Offered only in 12-ounce bottles, the cola's sales were disappointing and it was quickly discontinued with the exceptions of Australia and New Zealand.
- Royal Crown was the official sponsor of New York Mets during the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
- In the 1950s, the combination of R.C. Cola and Moonpies became popular in the American South.
Mmm moonpies.

My Great Burden

Many of you have heard me talk about my vaunted "TO DO PILE OF DVDS". Well let me shed a little light on this legend.
When I buy a DVD one of two things happen. This new hot steaming DVD goes directly into my DVD player for me to enjoy within a day or 5. See:Talladega Nights:The Ballad Of Ricky Bobby (Watched scant hours after I purchased it.) And Robin Hood Men In Tights (watched within the first few days.).
Now the other (majority) DVDs acquired by me on a regular basis go into a pile dubbed the "To Do Pile". Lately I've taken an active role in
trying to whittle the pile down so I don't feel so bad buying more DVDs, (even though I can't stop myself from purchasing them anyway).
Having off Monday and Wednesday mornings has aided me greatly in this endeavor. In fact while I write this I am literally watching
Sweet Home Alabama. "Why?" you might ask? Because on May 8, 2003 I spent 8.48 on it, in hopes that the advertised Alternate Ending contained within the disc would make the movie make a little more sense. Regretfully I'm only half way through the Reese Witherspoon - McDreamy - Josh Lucas epic, so that part of the update will have to wait.
Today my To Do Pile contains such flicks as Inside Man, Terminator 2, Match Point, MI:3, SWAT, Scrubs Season 4, The Simpsons Season 6, My Name Is Earl Season 1, Anaconda, Two Weeks Notice, National Lampoon's Vacation, 50 First Dates, King Kong, and a couple others I forget...But the pile is dwindling...only to be refreshed with the blood of new discs.
So anyway...thats a post for you.

Well that was quite the alt ending. Pretty much the same outcome, but this one did involve a faked death. Too bad for Patrick Dempsey.
The Director on the alt ending: "The test audience thought this was a Terrible way to end the movie"...."they didn't think the joke was funny".
And I didn't think this movie was good. Ah well.

Better slow down on the DVD buying... the future is Blue Ray! Or maybe HD-DVD.

During any given football game this season, I would estimate that Peyton Manning appeared in 2 out of every 3 commercials. If the Colts win tonight, expect P-e-y to cross the 75% mark.
Billy Joel will sing the National Anthem and Prince will lead the halftime show. I predict a record number of people hitting 'mute' preceding the game and an even higher number of Americans asking 'What's the deal with Prince, anyway?' at the half.
Coin toss will be heads and the Bears will win.
Colts 31, Bears 13.

Bears did win the coin toss, and with it came a kick return touchdown... However your score was SLIGHTLY off...Colts 29, Bears 17.
And I'm also left pondering...whats the deal with Prince's cover medley of "All Along The Watchtower" and Foo Fighters "Best Of You"?
Anyways, the real winner here is me...The My Boys Season 1 marathon on TBS was masterful counter programming...not to mention the fact that it started BEFORE the game, and was still going AFTER the game. I love you Jordana Spiro.
