Mike, 2/27/2004 11:53:07 AM
Aaah, beware! Scientists are actually brewing a supervirus in the lab... we can only hope and pray the events of Mission Impossible 2 don't come to fruition:

Transformers...More Than Meets The Eye
Justin, 2/25/2004 10:38:51 PM
Well next year, 2005 is the year that the Transformers Movie takes place in...Chilling vision of things to come? Or perhaps just a flight of fancy....only time will tell.
On that note, can you believe its just 10 months from now that this lousy decades gonna be half way over? I was just getting used to the 90's too. Whoomp there it is!
  • From Mike on 2/25/2004:
Of course, I have my Transformers: The Movie tape, purchased for me but never opened... sitting in its original wrappings until that fateful year comes. Let's just hope mankind will still be capable of playing VHS videocassettes in whatever dark future 2005 holds.

break out today, throwing my life away
    Mike, 2/22/2004 09:47:41 PM
I haven't posted for awhile, so here's some stuff I'd like to throw out:

    Good:
American Splendor wins a Screen Actor's Guild award for best adapted screenplay, beating out that other silly film about hobbits and dwarves.

    Better:
    Kill Bill Volume 1: 4/13
    Futurama Volume 3: 3/9
Weezer: Video Capture Device 1991-2002 (weezer dvd actually listed on amazon): 3/23

    Great:
    Starsky and Hutch sneak preview.

    Jackass of the Week:
Ralph Nader announces he's running for president, taking votes away from the Dems

    Kill Yourself:
    If you own this: http://www.bumpernuts.com/

    Ms. Pacman:
On a personal note, Justin, Davis, and I set a high score on a Ms. Pacman machine in Mother's bar in Fed Hill this weekend. They don't make arcade games like they used to. Wokka Wokka Wokka
  • From Justin on 2/22/2004:
Yea it was a magical night. The joystick had just the right amount of grease on it. I Sexy Justin, The Ms. Pacman wizard took the initiative to put that first quarter in the machine though. After one play it was obvious we needed to beat all 99 levels....After playing for a seemingly endless amount of dots though, LAST CALL at the bar was announced. So to salvage our night the goal was amended to BEAT THE HIGH SCORE! Towards that end, we went ALL IN and jammed all the quarters on our persons into the machine (besides the ones BMD took off me after telling me to SHHHHHHH.). In conclusion, we are golden gods. EAT THE FLY!
  • From Justin on 2/22/2004:
Don't forget, Chappelle's Show Season One out on DVD Tuesday! I'M RICK JAMES BITCH!
  • From Mike on 2/27/2004:
And who could forget School of Rock on 3/2

    Spring Movie Preview
    Justin, 2/18/2004 10:21:30 PM
In my quest to see exactly 100 movies in a calendar year, no more, no less, certain allotments must be made. For instance 8 movies a month every month must be seen until April and then summer movie season starts. I'm also trying to do this with a minimum of 12 movies seen more than once this year, so as I must be well versed in whats coming out and what I need to see. Now you can be that well versed too! Listed below are the big movies this spring and whose starring in them in case you don't recognize the name.

7.Scooby Doo 2 (Seth Green! Zoinks!)
Possibles:Agent Cody Banks 2 (Anthony Anderson!)
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (Jim Carey)

    April
    1.KILL BILL:VOLUME 2 (JUSTIN'S PICK OF THE SEASON)
2.Hellboy (Looks bad...I'll see it anyway)
    3.13 Going On 30 (Jennifer Garner's hot!)

    5.The Punisher (Travolta)
    6.The Whole Ten Yards(ChandlerBing&Bruce Willis!)

    Superbowl XXXVIIIVNSIENAEHD
    Mike, 2/3/2004 06:02:32 PM
I know we should have posted on this sooner, but I've been busy. Here's a couple good pictures of the Janet Jackson incident:

    http://www.drudgereport.com/mattjj.htm

My thoughts, if you could call them thoughts, are that Janet's decision to expose herself to a global audience was brilliant and that this is what makes live TV grrreat. All the concerned parents and families of America need to rethink their priorities. Must we live in a world sanitized of anything new or offensive? CBS refused to air the anti-George Bush ads ... but I guess they made up for it. I commend Janet Jackson for her breast-baring and Justin Timberlake for his deft, solid top-removal job. If rock is dead, then we at least need our "beloved" pop-stars to carry on the outrageous rock and roll spirit. (Kudos to Britney Spears for her recent off the wall behavior). It looks like public decency is finally going out of style, and I for one welcome the new, obscene America. It looks like our country is finally catching up to Europe...

Things In Society That Actually Please Me
    Justin, 2/3/2004 10:16:18 PM
The opposite of stuff that irks me...Can you think of anything to put here Brian M. Davis?

    1.Sitcoms That Are Narrated
2.Saves The Day - Stay What You Are
    3.Peach Snapple
    4.Mall Sidewalk Sales
    5.Romantic Comedies
    6.Summers Only 118 Days Away...Only
7.Fossil Stores That No One Else Around Here Has Immediate Access Too
8.What We Say Goes.Com...Its Not Just For Breakfast Anymore
    9.Chocolate Chip Cookies
    10.Red Heads!
  • From Justin on 2/3/2004:
Shit did I really put romantic comedies? I meant action movies.
  • From Mike on 2/3/2004:
They say that narration is the weakest form of storytelling and using narration in a movie is absolute death. But, in a sitcom, where you have to get a lot of plot through in 30 minutes, I think it works pretty well
  • From RJ on 2/6/2004:
Which is more disturbing? That you put down romantic comedies, or that you ranked romantic comedies at number 5?
